Novecin (brand names include: Onoff / Floxin / Floxstat / Ocuflox / Novecin / Oflo / Oflox / Taravid / Tarivid / Zanocin) belongs to a class of drugs known as fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
Novecin is used for the treatment of many bacterial infections, including bronchitis, pneumonia, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, gonorrhea, urethritis, cystitis, complicated urinary tract infections, and prostatitis.
Novecin can also be used for the treatment of travelers' diarrhea.
